Robin has a Masters Degree in Implant Dentistry and a Postgraduate Certificate in Sedation and Pain Management. Robin is also a member of the Association of Dental Implantologists, the British Dental Association and registered with the General Dental Council. He has trained and studied in the United States and eight different European countries, and has worked alongside some of the most revered and respected clinicians in the world

Cote Royd Dental Practice (formally The Integrated Health and Dental Practice) opened in March 2003. Dr John Roberts is proud to be the owner and principle dentist here at Cote Royd Dental Practice. He combined his holistic dental practice (previously in Rochdale) with the teaching of his second degree in Integrative Medicine obtained in June 2002 and has looked to create this unique dental practice. His ambition is to develop a whole body health practice using his knowledge of dental care, holistic medicine and complimentary health. Dr John Roberts has always had a focus on prevention and minimally invasive dentistry. Combining this with thorough dental hygiene programs he believes this helps maintain a patient's existing teeth. We look to identify the cause of a patient's problems and then correct them to help regain a healthy mouth. We are committed to improving and helping maintain a patient’s general dental health. From advice to parents of a newborn on breast-feeding and how this can influence the growth of the jaws, to helping older people who want to avoid dentures. This is a modern, technologically-advanced, forward-thinking dental practice reflecting changes in patients' attitudes and expectations towards dental care. We prefer prevention to excision (drilling and extractions), avoiding the invasive nature of dentistry. When treatment is necessary then consideration is given to comfort and restoring cosmetics and function. We look to blend our style of dental care where possible with a natural medicine approach, using medicines such as homeopathy, nutrition and working closely with a team of practitioners such as osteopaths, energy medicine practitioners and detox specialists. This is because of our concerns about the safety to our patients, staff, health practitioners and also to the environment. To conform to the limits of his dental degree, dental registration and dental insurance requirements Dr John Roberts is unable to fully incorporate all aspects of his study of alternative medicine into his dental practice. He does however work with other skilful alternative health practitioners and with his knowledge and guidance he provides a team approach to general health care and holistic dental care.
