    Torrance Park Golf Course

All the clubs in a golfer’s bag will be tested; challenging tee shots which on some holes need long accurate drives and on the shorter Par 3’s finely balanced iron shots, the fairways require intelligent strategic play and the gently undulating greens provide a test for golfers of all ability. Open weekend, 11th and 12th June, open to members and non members. 2 days golf for £10 with prizes for winners on both days.

    Bellshill Golf Club

When the course was opened there were 50 members and there are now over 700. Since opening, the course has been extended and altered numerous times to make it more challenging. The first 5 holes are extremely demanding, providing one of the most difficult starts in golf. This stretch is followed by the gentler "birdie alley" 6 and 7 where lost shots can be recovered. The signature hole is the par 3 17th which involves a tricky tee shot over out of bounds, from an elevated tee. The club is currently looking for new members. If you are considering applying for membership more details can be found on the Membership Info section of the site or by contacting the Administrator or Secretary, see the Contact Us section.

    Fereneze Golf Club

Fereneze Golf Club is a mature moor land 18-hole course offering spectacular panoramic views over the Clyde Valley towards Glasgow and beyond. The course can be accessed from Fereneze Avenue in Barrhead, just off Paisley Road. Visitors are welcome but should Contact Us in advance. A medium length course by yardage, Fereneze is the closest thing you will find to a links course without going to the seaside. With relatively tight fairways this is a course which rewards accurate driving. Each hole presents a new challenge, with golfers having to adapt to local conditions when playing approach shots to fast and sloping greens. Many of the holes such as the 4th - The Cobbler - and the 11th - Ben Lomond - are named after distant hills (or Munros as they are known) which are clearly visible on the skyline, making it hard to believe you are only a few miles from one of Scotland’s busiest cities.
