The Association is a registered Friendly Society (Reg. No. 23468) whose declared aims and objectives are to promote employment and fight dereliction through the encouragement of the small firms sector, by providing suitable workspace through the refurbishment of redundant buildings and the reclamation of derelict sites in inner city areas. The Association currently has 7 projects in management, jointly accountable for 270,000 sq.ft. of commercial and industrial floor space and accommodation for small firms, with a rent role of some £1.3m per annum. The Association believes very strongly that appropriately designed, well presented and sympathetically managed premises are a major contributory factor to the success of newly established and existing small firms. Consequently, great emphasis is placed upon upkeep and maintenance and "hands on" management.

    Wolverhampton Science Park

    Our modern buildings, comprising over 120,000 sq ft of office and workshop space, currently accommodate around 100 tenant companies. In addition to normal accommodation provision, we operate a dedicated facility under the brand name of SP/ARK specifically designed to support new-start companies. Accommodation is offered via flexible, monthly paid, licence agreements which are inclusive of rent and service charges covering all normal costs of occupation. A three month only notice period is required in the event of a wish to terminate. Our parent organisation, the University of Wolverhampton, provides a range of services to tenant companies which encompass graduate recruitment and placement, technical consultancy, analytical services and R & D collaboration. Other support services currently available on-site include legal, translation, business advice, accountancy and innovation development. We are a full member of the United Kingdom Science Park Association.
