We are passionate about volunteering and believe that good quality volunteering can make a positive impact on our society. TimeBank is a national volunteering charity. We run our own volunteering projects which are designed to tackle social issues. They focus on mentoring and youth-led volunteering tackling big issues head on. From social exclusion to digital inclusion, we show the difference volunteers can make and use this to influence others policy makers, charities and businesses. Knowing that great volunteering doesnt just happen on its own, were also here to offer support and advice to everyone who wants to volunteer. At TimeBank we live and breathe volunteering. TimeBank staff volunteer and all our Trustees are also volunteers.
We are an independent charity offering support and respite through the provision of community-based services in the London Borough of Ealing. We started in 1982 as Relative Support Scheme which provided a volunteer sitting service for elderly confused people. In 1986 we merged with Age Concern Ealing Borough although we maintained our name and standing committee. In 1993 Alzheimers Concern Ealing (ACE) became an independent organisation with a new board of trustees - all of whom are carers or former carers of people with dementia. In August 2010 we changed our name to Dementia Concern. Our main funders are the London Borough of Ealing and NHS Ealing. Our mission is to enable people with dementia to live their life as fully and comfortably as possible by optimising their abilities, freedom of choice and to aid independence. At the same time we aim to support carers to take a break from caring and to enable them to take care of their own health, finances and general well-being.
Our innovative education, employment, housing and well-being services address individual needs and help people to transform their lives. We measure our success and can demonstrate tangible results and value for money. We are determined campaigners, working to prevent people from becoming homeless and advocating solutions informed by research and our direct experience. We have ambitious plans for the future and are committed to help more people in more places across the UK. We know we won't end homelessness overnight or on our own. But we take a lead, collaborate with others and, together, make change happen. Take action to end homelessness now Donate Fundraise Campaign Volunteer Join our community Already signed up?
