Most people are surprised to learn that our annual running costs are in excess of £2.2 million. We receive in the region of one third of these costs from the local NHS and must therefore raise approximately £4,400 each and every day of the year from our own resources, most of which is generated by the activities of our Trading Company.
We have a dedicated team of management and staff, outstanding facilities and a proven track record in the delivery of vocational education.
The college works constantly to provide an excellent standard of education, training and support to all its students to enable them to become effective learners and achieve their goals in life.
We offer a broad curriculum that includes Performing Arts, Leisure & Tourism, Art & Design, Business Management, Technology, Health & Care, Humanities, and Continuing Education. The curriculum offers students enormous flexibility, not only in how they want to learn, but also when and where they want to.
A successful Virtual Learning Environment offers the opportunity for access to course information from home and a range of learning resources are offered through outreach or satellite centres resulting in a college that is truly community-based and built around the needs and expectations of local people.
