The charity's main objective is to enable children to receive treatment as close to home as possible, minimizing the disruption to the family unit. We achieve this by working closely and relying on the expertise of Consultants, Medical and Welfare personnel to identify where we can best provide help.
The charity supports hospitals all over Scotland supplying them with much needed equipment and funding for posts recognized as being essential. In addition to support given to hospitals we have contributed a great deal to individual families who have been financially disadvantaged by their child's renal illness. These families come from ALL over Scotland. Kidney Kids Scotland has been instrumental in funding and developing The Paediatric Renal Network in Scotland.
We believe that your eyecare is the most important part of your visit to our practice. That's why we will make you feel welcome and relaxed and ensure you are given the best possible service.
Not only is our aim to provide a great service but also first class products. We offer a huge range of frame and sunglass styles and supply the very latest contact lenses - all provided with value for money in mind.
Our equipment is designed specifically for home eye tests. There?s no compromise on quality ? our mobile optometrists perform a full eye test in your home.
Our teams carry a large variety of spectacle frames, ranging from budget styles (provided free to those entitled to an NHS voucher) to the latest designer frames at highly competitive prices.
When your glasses are ready, they will be expertly fitted by one of our dispensing opticians or trained clinical assistants. Many of our assistants have undergone training by the Royal National Institute for Blind People (RNIB), so they fully understand the problems experienced by those suffering from low vision and ways in which they can be helped.
