Working Environments
Working Environments commenced trading as a mechanical services contractor in 1974. Prior to that date the Company had been involved in the supply and distribution of safety equipment and carrying out remedial noise control projects. The on-site acoustic work required specialist skills such as pipefitters, refrigeration engineers, sheet metal workers and steel fabricators. The type of work being handled tended to be spasmodic and left the workforce with periods of low activity. This instigated the Company's move to mechanical services, the aim being to utilise the surplus labour that was available on the small works and maintenance. It was only some six months later a major defence contractor placed an order with the Company that demanded 100% of the Company's capacity be utilised on a mechanical services installation thus changing the profile of the Company substantially. Avoid like the plague These Cowboys Operate under the names of Complete Vehicle Services, LMD Mechanical Repairs and Shirley Car Care Centre, all with the same phone number 023 8078 1128. They did my rear wheel bearing on my BMW 3 series, less than 2 months later my Handbrake Assembly on that side disintegrated on the motorway as it had not been reassembled properly, I also discovered they had broken my rear wheel speed sensor, bringing up TC, brake & ABS warning light, instead of replacing the damage they cause they attempted to cover up their damage by taking out my instrument cluster & stuffing old pieces of cloth in from of my dash warning lights, breaking my odometer switch in the process, upon confronting them, they denied it giving me the runabout between these 3 companies with the same telephone number and not answering my calls.

Despite struggling to understand Ricardo's accent when he was calling the numbers, I was fortunate enough to win several times in one evening, much to the chagrin of the sea of blue rinses. The cloud of smoke despite being heavy set from the Dot Cotton appreciation society actually helped a previous eye condition due to the amount of times my body naturally lubricated my eyes in direct combat of the smoke. All in all I felt much like a rat would when placed in the lion enclosure at Marwell Zoo. - Afraid.

Chamberlayne Park school offered a wide variety of courses but mainly focused on performing arts. Whilst at Chamberlayne Park I had the pleasure of meeting Sir Patrick Moore, Darcey Bussell, and Brian May. Chamberlayne Park was an excellent place to study and provided me with good grades and a head start in life.
