Servisair began business as a subsidiary of the British and Commonwealth Shipping Company and on July 1954 the first location was opened in Manchester as Manchester Airport Agencies. During the early years, cargo development was focused on the UK, with operations opening in Manchester in 1954, and during the 1960’s in Belfast, Newcastle and Stansted. In the 1970’s the cargo network expanded further with the addition of operations in Jersey, Guernsey, Edinburgh and Glasgow. 1988 saw the opening of cargo operations in London Gatwick, and Birmingham. The following year we developed beyond the UK market with the opening of a facility in Dublin, and thereafter in Shannon in 1990. In 1995 we established a joint venture with Air France in London Heathrow called HCH. The year after we expanded our presence further into Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
