Fences and trellis have a wide range of uses other than being a boundary marker and adding a decorative look. Fencing adds height to your garden, supports climbing plants as well as protects and shelters your plants. They can hide things like water butts, compost heaps, and rubbish bins, making your garden look more attractive. Fences can also be used to demarcate some areas inside your garden for kids, or to keep out pets. Good fences create a great first impression, reflecting your personality and taste, and also making your property attractive.

OUR HISTORY
T & A Fyfe Ltd have been serving their community since the late 1800's
Thomas H. Fyfe opened the company's first offices in Quarry Street, Hamilton and Glasgow Road, Wishaw in the 1890's
In the 1920's as the company expanded, the Fyfe family bought their Peacock Cross premises at Almada Street, Hamilton. These premises were originally used as stables for their Belgian Black' horses and storage for their various carriages.
Over the years the premises have gone though many transformations, culminating in the conversion of the stable block in the 1960's into Lanarkshire's first dedicated Service Room.
Fyfe's have now occupied this site for 88 years and the company celebrated its centenary year in 1990! The Managing Director and son-in-law of the company founder, Jim Adamson is now in his 82nd year and is still a guiding force within the business
The SLCU Board of Directors recognizes that although there is a common philosophy and ethos which makes us credit unions the world-over there are differences between the needs and aspirations of individual credit unions; some ?big?, some ?small?, some see their mandates as one of addressing social and financial exclusion, others as community social and economic development with their membership being drawn from across the entire economic spectrum of the community; other see credit unions as fundamentally member-owned financial cooperatives offering an alternate corporate structure to the main street consumer financial institutions with the rewards generated being for the benefit of their members or their communities rather than distant shareholders?.. All of these interpretations are valid and are fully conducive to, and in keeping with, the Credit Union philosophy, ethos, and ideals.
