Dalgarno Neighbourhood Trust

There is a particular focus on the needs of young people and of those who have come to Britain from other countries who form a substantial element of the Dalgarno community, but integration and support of all in the community are constant aims.The services are largely, but not exclusively, centred on the Dalgarno Community Centre on which the DNT now holds a tenancy from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC).Some activities are held in the Peabody Housing Trust?s Dalgarno Estate, in William Sutton Housing Trust?s St Quintin Estate, on local playing fields, and elsewhere.

Drayton Manor High School

The school became grant maintained in 1992 and following changes in legislation became a foundation school in 1998. The school was awarded Beacon Status in July 2000 and won the School Achievement Award for Excellence for three consecutive years. In July 2003 the school became a Leading Edge school. In 2004 our Head, Sir Pritpal Singh, was recognised as the Headteacher of the Year for London. In February 2004, the school was named in the Chief Inspector’s Report to Parliament as an outstanding school. In June 2005, our Head, Sir Pritpal Singh was knighted in the Queen’s birthday Honours for services to education.
