Village Steakhouse in (Restaurants)

2 Montgomery Street, East Kilbride, G74 4JS

We offer a range of cuisine at very affordable prices however our steaks simply cannot go without a mention. We use only the best cuts of beef from locally farm-reared cattle and guarantee that our beef is hung for 28 days to ensure succulence. But don't just take our word for it, Tam Cowan said when he visited: The three cuts of beef delivered to our table - one plain fillet and two surf'n'turf efforts topped with (peeled) king prawns - were truly excellent and, without a word of a lie, this is the standard I would expect from my three favourite Las Vegas steakhouses - Gallagher's, Smith & Wollensky and Ruth's Chris. The Village Steakhouse provides the perfect balance - a high standard of taste and presentation combined with excellent value for money. Tam Cowan review: Food: 5/5 - don't miss the steak. Service: 5/5 - charming and efficient. Decor: 4/5 - smart interior, good atmos. Toilets: 4/5 - clean with paper towels. Value: 4/5 - worth every penny. Total: 22/25.

Zucca Ristorante Pizzeria in (Restaurants)

33 Main Street, East Kilbride, G74 4JU

01355 225007

Our love of pizza, and all things Italian, has inspired us to bring a stone based, 1600kg (that's over 1.5 tonnes) pizza oven to the Village to make the freshest, most authentic pizza this side of Sicily. We've had to build our restaurant round it! Add some fresh cooked pasta, seafood specials and an Italian inspired wine, beer and cocktail list and you have a Mediterranean recipe for a great night out in East Kilbride. At Zucca, we cherish our reputation. Our award winning bistro pizzeria, in East Kilbride's shopping mall, has been producing the best food, service and value in the Town Centre since it opened 6 years ago. The success of our bistro, and persistent customer requests, have led us now to open our new ristorante pizzeria in the Village. We carry this reputation to our Ristorante and we will continue to use fresh, local and authentic Italian produce to make classic and contemporary dishes in our stunning pizzeria.

This feeling is enhanced when you come fully into the room and glimpse the beautiful spheres of silken filigree lights which illuminate and, with the room-dividing modern open fire, highlight the intimate and chocolate-rich nature of this beautiful space. This is a room in which you can sit comfortably, safe in the knowledge that there is no hurry, no stress, and that your comfort is the only thing that really matters. Relax before your meal, or just come and listen to the music. Feel the stress just melt away. Carrying on the intimacy from the Piano Bar you are welcomed into the darkly lit comfort of the restaurant. Surrounded by the susurration of gentle conversation and the welcoming sound of cutlery on good china, this is where you will dine and be made welcome, as an honoured guest in our home. Guys Restaurant And Bar

" What a pleasant discovery Guy's is! I feel I've found my Cape Cod meets Key West venue right in the centre of Glasgow. And I shall definetly go back. My friend and I are eager to return to have a go at the other delicious dishes Guy's menu offers. What a variety of cuisines and textures and flavours. For now I could eat their Pan Fried Sea Bass Fillets served on Romesco Sauce again and again and again. Likewise, the fillet steak across the table on my friends plate was stearing at me and begging to be tried, nicely cut and juicy and cooked to perfection. Loved the dainty lemon wedges on the edge of our plates, dressed in cheese-cloth in order to avoid being sprayed all over ourselves. It's the nice little touches like that that place a restaurant with outstanding food a step above the rest. Moreover, heaven for the palates of both the savoury and the sweet toothed inclined, with great selections both on the entrees and the desserts menus. Well done "Guy's" !! "
