I would like to congratulate students and staff on another excellent year of exam results. I am pleased to say that 76% of our students gained five A*-C including English and Maths, a new best ever result for the school and a 3% improvement on last year. The figure for five A*-C overall is at least 88%. Nineteen students achieved five A* or more with two students achieving 12 A* and one 13 A*. A very impressive performance as a result of ability, dedication and sheer hard work. At A level 25% of students gained A or A* grades, with 6% at A*. One student achieved four of the new A* grades which will make him one the most outstanding students in the country. Another seven students achieved at least two A*s. Five students achieved a Distinction at the most challenging level in BTEC, equivalent to four grade As at A level. BTEC subjects cover vocational areas of study.

Mill Hill County High

The School is highly traditional in its approach to student behaviour and attitudes. Students are expected to wear our distinctive uniform in a conventional manner, i.e. with collars buttoned, shirts tucked in etc. While all members of the School community are expected to behave respectfully to one another, there is an explicit expectation that students will respect their elders, maintaining a wholly courteous manner towards teaching and support staff, adult visitors and members of the general public. In classes, every student is expected to be trying to be a pleasure to teach. In contrast to the nationwide decrease in levels of extracurricular activity and school trips, the staff of Mill Hill County High School place great value upon the learning experiences which can be provided by sports teams, musical ensembles, dramatic and dance productions, clubs of every sort and educational visits.

This carpet cleaner deserves FIVE STAR rating: My carpet is seventeen years old so I did not expect perfection, but their technician was very kind and worked very hard to clean the carpet. He used three machines: two rotary and one standard steam cleaning machines. He worked on the carpet for an hour and a half. He deserves five stars for his effort and the results he achieved, although I never had my carpet professionally cleaned. My only reservation is that some areas of the carpet took over a day to dry.
