Seven Hills Restaurant derives more than its name from the historic city and just like each hill has its own attractions and character, the authentic Turkish menus in the restaurant have their own special features, each reflecting the most prized and celebrated national delicacies. As with other Mediterranean nations, dining in Turkey is very much a shared social experience and in a city like Newcastle this dining philosophy could scarcely find a better second home. Istanbul is situated on the Bosphorus Strait, where the Black Sea meets the Mediterranean and Europe meets Asia, and while the River Tyne in Newcastle may seem like an unlikely comparison, it has plenty of its own history, charm and contemporary riverside appeal. This is the setting for Seven Hills Restaurant, where dining, coffee and drinks can be enjoyed right on the quayside, providing wonderful views against the backdrop of one of Europe's most popular party cities.

He managed to transport us all from Newcastle to Turkey with three plates each of the most succulent and delicious food I have had since my last visit to Turkey. The chef makes his own Turkish bread which is beautiful. I highly recommend his Lmb Kleftikos which simply falls off the bone. Not 5 stars....TEN STARS. Thank you Seven Hills! 12/1/2011 5:02 PM
