Lauries is also the new home of the former Riverside Club Ceilidh, still run by Mary Laurie. The Riverside Club was the real star of Ceilidhs in it's day - it is now eclipsed - LAURIE'S has it all!! Cy Laurie, the Proprietor, is a well-known Scottish Traditional singer with strong Folk Music links, who has hosted many successful Charity events. Cy is committed to Acoustic Music, whether it be Folk song, Jazz or Country. Lauries resident Uptown Shufflers trad jazz band on Saturday from 2.30 until 5.30, is a major feature - you can't fail to enjoy this wonderful Live Jazz Saturday afternoon.
