Originally established in June 1998 at the very heart of Glasgow at 50 Queen Street, a sister branch in the west-end of the the city opened at 168 Dumbarton Road shortly after in 2002. We offer a wide variety of Japanese foods, from noodles and rice to bento boxes and sushi, not to mention our wide selections of teriyaki, tempura and kushiyaki. Our menu consists of main courses, sushi and side dishes- there are no specific 'starters' or 'desserts'. One main course is normally sufficiently filling, however most also order some side dishes to share. Dishes suitable for a vegetarian diet are marked with a (v). Our staff will be happy to assist you in cases of more specific dietary requirements. Bookings are accepted for Sundays - Thursdays, for parties of 10 or more. A 10% service charge will apply. Otherwise please feel free to just pop in and should we not have a table ready for you, the average waiting time is only 5-10min for a table for two.

Offering simple, nutritious Japanese cuisine, Ichiban has established itself to be quite literally the 'ichiban place' to be for Japanese food in Glasgow.
