We'd read some less than complimentary reports on this restaurant but found ourselves in Porthmadog on an out of season Sunday evening with little other choice. Arrived 8pm ish & restaurant fairly busy. 5 minutes elapsed before being offered drinks and it was clear that other diners were becoming exasperated as their orders arrived either incomplete or out of sync. Spoke to a couple who had waited almost an hour to collect a takeaway order! Sure enough, we suffered the same fate: my jalfrezi dish was plonked on the table 15 minutes before my wifes meal arrived - and that was luke warm when it came. Food itself was ok. Toilets were pokey with no towels / hand dryer. This was the first time in my life that I have declined to pay a bill and was, grudgingly, given a discount to reflect the shoddy service. You have been warned!
